On 14 April Lisa Batiashvili and other leading musicians sent out from Ingolstadt a sign of solidarity in a time of crisis. The press shop at Audi was turned into a virtual concert hall! “Music connects people across borders,” says the artistic director of the Audi Sommerkonzerte. “We hope we were able to present a moment of optimism and joy for many people.“
The violinist, who lives in Munich, shared the stage with her husband François Leleux, a renowned oboist and conductor, with the star cellist Maximilian Hornung and his partner, the violinist Sarah Christian, as well as with the viola player Jano Lisboa. The artists performed works by, among others, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program was introduced by the Munich moderator Alexander Mazza. More than a quarter of a million people all over the world followed this concert with its unusual setting, which was streamed live via Internet.
