AUDI AG partially utilizes Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in its products. Open Source Software means software components made available use by their developers as far as specific conditions are observed and passed on by AUDI AG. Some of the respective terms demand that we provide you with license texts, copyright notes and to some extent source codes of the FOSS and, if applicable, derivative works as well as further assistance necessary for the exercise of rights guaranteed by an Open Source License.



Via this website and request form, we do not supply codes for updating your software. We provide you with software components and assistance which can be used for your own software development.


Mostly these components are publicly accessible and have not been changed by AUDI AG. Thus, current versions can be obtained from the respective developers via their project sites or common repositories such as GitHub over the internet.


Terms of a license, for example of the GNU General Public License Version 2.0, may even require the provision of source codes on physical data storage devices. In such a case you will find the respective offer in the compulsory statements delivered with the software. Referring to the corresponding offer you can request a physical data storage device with source codes of the software. To identify the appropriate software you requested in source code form we merely need the exact label of the FOSS component and the location of the corresponding written offer you refer to. You will find the label of the component together with the written offer in the compulsory statements delivered with the software.


For the exercise of rights guaranteed by an FOSS License please also use the provided request form with reference to the respective components and rights of the Open Source License.
Please bear with us, that we have to charge you with our primary costs for production and shipping of the physical copy which depends on the quantity of requested code, the number of Open Source components and the required data storage device. The same applies otherwise in case of additional costs for assistance, as mentioned before. In case of respective requests exact terms will be clarified via direct communication.
