Virtual drive with the Audi e-tron GT*

From March 21 to April 30, customers and guests can enjoy a very special driving experience at the Audi Forum Neckarsulm and virtually test an Audi e-tron GT*.

The all-electric Gran Turismo has been Audi's electric spearhead since 2021. The interactive mixed reality test drive in a real vehicle is made possible by Austrian start-up NXRT. The car does not move, the routes and traffic situations are projected to the driver using virtual reality goggles.

At the beginning of the simulation, there is a short personal briefing to familiarize the driver with the steering. The functions of the emergency brake assistant and crossing assistant are then illustrated with real-life examples. Holograms in the vehicle then explain the exact functions of the assistants.

To experience semi-automated driving, customers drive virtually on a three-lane highway in the Alps. The idea is that they accelerate until the assistant takes over acceleration and lane guidance. The distance control and the adaptability of the cruise control in bends can be experienced realistically.

It is not necessary to register for the virtual test drive.
