Basic training in Seefeld

The Basic training is a beginner’s training with a medium level of difficulty (level 1) aimed at young drivers and novice drivers as well as experienced drivers who want to hone their skills.

The Basic training is designed for a duration of 1 training day.

A car driving licence valid in Austria is required for participation.Minimum age: 18 yearsNo special prior knowledge or previous training qualifications required.

The regular price for the Basic training is €720 incl. VAT per person.

Performing on the prepared icy surface outdoors requires constant temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius. Should unpredictable weather conditions (thaw etc.) develop shortly before or during the event that impair safety or prevent ice from forming, Audi reserves the right to cancel the training session, even at short notice participants are therefore advised to take out travel cancellation insurance.

The Basic training is offered against the impressive backdrop of the Austrian Alps at two locations:Seefeld in Tyrol, AustriaSaalbach in the Salzburger Land, AustriaTraining area: specially prepared outdoor icy surfaces

The main objective of the Basic training is to identify risks in road traffic at an early stage and to react confidently to them.Participants will learn:to keep calm in challenging situationsto improve response timesto develop a confident sense of vehicle control in wintry conditions

The program of the Basic training includes practical modules:targeted interception in the event of understeering/oversteeringintense ABS braking exercises (for maximum deceleration on icy surfaces)evasive manoeuvresdynamic final handling course to combine all techniques

Novice drivers in particular can test the limits of driving physics in a safe and controlled environment (without losing out on fun). They learn from professionals how to react faster and stay calm when braking hard. These experiences will help you to feel safer and more confident from journey to journey in daily traffic.

In the Basic training, 2 people share a training vehicle and take turns at the wheel for the exercises.Standard occupancy: 2 participants per vehicle (double occupancy)Optional: Single occupancy available on request

Note: Even though the “Drift” is only fully perfected in advanced courses, this is primarily about vehicle control. The learning goal of exercises such as understeering/oversteering is to internalize the correct interception of the vehicle in the event of a loss of traction and to learn confident cornering handling before the vehicle swerves out of control.

At the Seefeld location in particular, two models are being used in the Basic training to perfect both electric driving and driving with combustion engines: the Audi RS 5 Sedan{ft_ade-rs-5-limo-en} and the all-electric Audi RS e-tron GT performance{ft_ade-rs-e-tron-gt-performance-en}. (At the second location in Saalbach, the Audi RS 3 Sportback{ft_ade-rs-3-sportback-en} and the Audi RS 5 Avant{ft_ade-rs-5-avant-en} are used instead).
