The special feature of the Ice Challenge lies in the pronounced competitive character and the extremely high dynamic demands. Here, sporty competitions and time ratings are on the agenda, in which participants have to perform sequential precise drifts on-the-clock.

Participants of the Ice Challenge get the opportunity to upgrade their previous knowledge to the absolute “next level” under the guidance of experienced professionals. It’s not just about pure speed, it’s about developing high-level precision and vehicle control with continuous feedback from instructors.

The advanced Ice Challenge training with increased difficulty (level 2) is aimed exclusively at practised drivers who have already gained experience in drifting on ice.

This sporty event is designed for one day of training.

Due to the significantly advanced driving level (increased level of difficulty, level 2), at least one completed Audi driving experience training from level 1.5  is mandatory for participation in the Ice Challenge.Requirement: at least one Audi training experience course (from level 1.5) or a comparable training course from another providerDriving licence: driving licence valid in Austria requiredMinimum age: 18 years

For optimal ice formation on the prepared outdoor surface, constant temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius are required. In the event of unforeseeable weather conditions (e.g. thaw) that impair the safe and high-quality staging of the event, Audi reserves the right to cancel the event even at short notice. Participants are advised to take out travel cancellation insurance.

The Ice Challenge takes place on the specially prepared, spacious outdoor driving dynamics area in Saalbach (Salzburger Land, Austria).

The main goal of the Ice Challenge training is to take confidence at the wheel to a new level.Participants will learn:to guide the vehicle into the drift by the most subtle of steering and accelerator impulsessubsequent mastering of several curves in a dynamic drift in a fluid and controlled manner

 The purely dynamic program includes challenging modules such as:precise load changes in warm-up and slalomthe targeted initiation and holding of powerslides at high dynamicsvarious sports competitions on iceprecise, error-free driving under time pressure (time ratings)

In the Ice Challenge training, 2 people share a training vehicle and take turns at the wheel for the exercises.
