The Basic training Saalbach at a glance
This one-day driving safety training takes place in Saalbach (Salzburger Land, Austria). It is specially designed for beginners and has a medium level of difficulty. Precise vehicle control as well as braking and traction control in winter conditions are taught.*

Important information: Audi plans the event at locations and on days when the required weather conditions can normally be expected. The event will be held on an outdoor icy surface specially prepared for this purpose. The safe and high-quality implementation of the event depends on the weather conditions required for the formation of ice (constant temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius) for a sufficient period of time before and during the event. Nevertheless, even shortly before or during the event, unpredictable weather conditions may occur, which prevent the event from being held for safety reasons.
Audi therefore reserves the right to cancel the event and/or the entire trip at short notice prior to the start of the trip. Audi recommends that you take out travel cancellation insurance or book tickets for your arrival and departure that can be cancelled at short notice.

Accommodations in Saalbach, Austria
Saalbach (Salzburger Land, Austria) offers a variety of high-quality accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the training location. There are various options available from an alpine four-star hotel to premium accommodation with a wellness area.
Due to the winter season and the high demand in the region, early reservations are recommended.

Travel to the training location in Saalbach, Austria
The training location is located in Saalbach (Salzburger Land, Austria) and is easily accessible due to its convenient location between Innsbruck and Munich.

Arrival by car:
Saalbach is located in the Glemmtal Valley and can be reached as a direct connection via the Glemmtaler Landesstraße (L111) from Maishofen.
- Coming from Germany (Munich): Take the A8 (Siegsdorf exit) and the B312/B311 via Lofer and Saalfelden to Maishofen. There you turn onto the L111 directly to Saalbach.
- From Austria (Salzburg/Vienna): Use the A10 Tauern motorway (Bischofshofen exit) and take the Pinzgauer Straße (B311) via Zell am See to Maishofen, where you can turn off into the Glemmtal valley in the direction of Saalbach.
Parking: For your arrival, please head directly for the location shown in your individual booking documents. Appropriate parking facilities are available for you there.
Arrival by train & plane:
- By train: The nearest major train station is Zell am See (approx. 20 km away) and is regularly served by long-distance trains from Salzburg, Vienna and Innsbruck. An optional shuttle service can be requested from us.
- By plane: Salzburg Airport (SZG) is approx. 90 km away (approx. 1.5 hours driving time). Munich Airport (MUC) is about 220 km away and can be reached in about 2.5 hours. The onward journey from the airport can be made by rental car, train/bus or transfer.
