Ice Control training is a sporty driving training with a advanced level of difficulty (level 1.5), which is aimed at drivers who want to develop their skills on ice in a structured way and be introduced to the driving limit.

This intensive program is designed for 2 training days (including one overnight stay).

Due to the sporty level (advanced level of difficulty, level 1.5), at least one completed training course of the Audi driving experience from level 1 is recommended for participation in the Ice Control training.
Recommendation: at least one Audi training experience (from level 1) or a comparable training from another provider recommended
Driving licence: driving licence valid in Austria requiredMinimum age: 18 years

The price for the Ice Control training is €1,850 (0% VAT (margin scheme for travel agents)) per person. Other services included in the price:1 overnight stay (single or double room) half board lunch, snacks selected beverages

Constant temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius are essential for ice formation and safe driving. If unforeseeable weather conditions (e.g. persistent thaw) endanger the safety or quality of the icy surfaces, Audi reserves the right to cancel the training at short notice. Participants are therefore advised to take out travel cancellation insurance.

The Ice Control training is offered against the impressive backdrop of the Austrian Alps at two locations: Seefeld in Tyrol, AustriaSaalbach in Salzburger Land, AustriaTraining area: specially prepared outdoor icy surfaces

The main goal of the Ice Control training is the structured improvement of one’s own driving skills.  Participants will learn:first of all, concrete control in critical situationscontinuous increase in driving dynamics to the driving limitvehicle control up to controlled drift

A wide range of skills is trained:targeted stabilisation in the event of oversteering/understeeringintensive ABS braking exercises on iceavoidance in case of sudden obstaclescoordinated challenging grid slalomadvanced cornering and drifting techniquesfinal handling course to dynamically combine all techniques

The decisive difference in the Ice Control training is the combination: participants start with intensive basic modules (as in the classic Basic training) and then continuously increase to demanding driving dynamics and drift exercises (as in the Drift training) on the second day. It is the ideal program to go all the way from safe handling to controlled drift in a continuous, two-day format.

The goal of drifting is to learn driving dynamics on ice in a structured way. The aim is to steer the vehicle safely through targeted interaction of steering and load changes, even at the limit of loss of traction, and to master confident, harmonious drifts.

The current Audi RS 5 Sedan{ft_ade-rs-5-limo-en} will be used for the Ice Control training.
